My cousin's sticky note password left me unsure what to do
We were setting up a shared budget sheet on her laptop when I spotted her online banking password stuck right on the screen. She laughed and said it's easier to remember that way, since her place is safe. I know how risky that is, but she didn't want to hear about safer options. Isn't it tricky when you care about someone's security but don't want to start a fight?

Tell her that's like leaving your front door key under the mat because your neighborhood feels safe. It only takes one person to find it.

Switched to two-factor after my neighbor's car got stolen.

Yikes, that's a legit nightmare scenario! I read an article last week about how burglars actually look for hidden keys under mats or in fake rocks first, and a sticky note on a laptop is basically the digital version of that. @anthony_campbell88 is totally right about using two-factor, it adds that extra lock even if someone finds your password. She might think her place is safe, but all it takes is one cleaning person, a shady guest, or even just a photo someone takes in the background. Maybe show her a free password manager instead? It types the passwords for you, so it's just as easy as a note but way safer.
