My password manager switch after that breach notice, night and day difference
Last month I got an email from a gaming site I used in 2019 saying my password was in a dump. I had reused that same password for like 5 other accounts, so I spent 3 hours changing everything manually. Then I finally moved to a password manager and set up unique random passwords for each site. The really wild part is how much less I worry now, I used to dread those breach notifications. Has anyone else had that moment where you realize how many places share one password?

Used to think password managers were for paranoid people who wrapped their router in tin foil. Then the same thing happened to me, old forum account got popped and I found out that password was my email password too. That was the wake up call, spent a whole night resetting stuff and feeling like an idiot. Now I just let the manager make up some random garbage for every site and I don't even know what half of them are. The best part is when a breach email shows up now, I just change that one password and move on with my day. Takes two minutes instead of three hours of panic.
