Password managers beat my sticky note system after one breach scare
I used to keep a notebook of passwords under my desk until someone found it during a house showing last month and tried logging into my bank. Switched to a free password manager with 2FA and moved every account over in about 2 hours, which felt way better than changing 14 passwords manually. Anyone else had a close call that finally pushed them off the old habit?

Man, that's rough but honestly good for you. I read somewhere that most people use the same password for like 5 different sites, and that's exactly how one leak ruins everything. Your sticky note thing was basically the same risk, just in paper form. I had a friend who got his email hacked because he wrote his password on a whiteboard in his home office, and a repair guy snapped a photo of it. It took him days to fix all the damage. Now he uses a manager too, and he always jokes that the hardest part was admitting the old way was broken.
