Spent $60 on a YubiKey after a close call, worth every penny

Last month someone tried to log into my email from Vietnam and got stopped by my 2FA, but it freaked me out enough to drop 60 bucks on a hardware key. I use it for my main accounts now and the phishing protection is way better than text codes. Anyone else using hardware keys or do you stick with authenticator apps?

Oh man, that close call would've sent me over the edge too. I had something similar happen with my bank account a while back and it gave me the chills for weeks. I started using a hardware key for my most important stuff after that, and honestly the peace of mind is huge. Text codes always felt so flimsy to me, like someone could just trick me into handing them over without even knowing it.
