A guy on the 7:15 train just changed how I see my whole route
Honestly, I was just staring out the window like always when this older guy sat down and pointed at a tiny park we pass. He said, 'I've watched them build that gazebo over 47 mornings, one board at a time.' Ngl, it hit me that I've been on this same train for 3 years and never noticed anything changing. I just see traffic and delays. Now I'm trying to spot one new thing each trip, like a game. Has anyone else had a commute chat that flipped a boring routine into something kinda interesting?

My bus driver once pointed out a mural I'd missed for months.

What did the mural look like, @blair_webb?

Wait, 47 mornings? He actually counted the days it took to build that gazebo? That's wild, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast yesterday. I guess some people just have that kind of patience and attention to detail. It makes me wonder how many little moments I've completely missed while I was zoning out on the train. Maybe I should start looking for stuff like that too, just to see what I've been ignoring.
