Bus driver took a wrong turn and I saw my old high school for the first time in 12 years

Last Tuesday the 52 bus rerouted through the east side and we passed Jefferson High at 7:40am, which hit me harder than I expected, so has anyone else had a commute suddenly drag up old memories like that?

Wait, the 52 bus goes through the east side now? That route never used to go anywhere near Jefferson when I was a kid. I remember that road being a total dead end past the old football field, so I'm genuinely shocked they changed it. It's wild how a simple wrong turn can just flip a switch in your brain like that.
