Bus vs subway on my route is no contest now

I used to take the 42 bus from Clark to Addison every morning and it took 45 minutes easy with all the stops and traffic. Switched to the Red Line subway last month and it's 22 minutes door to door, even with the walk to the station. The bus got stuck behind construction on Diversey for 15 minutes one day and I just snapped. Has anyone else switched modes and found one way faster than you thought?

Wait, you got on the wrong bus three times?? That's wild lol. I would've given up after the second time for sure.

Goodness, I suppose we all have those days where our brains just aren't cooperating with the bus schedule.

Took me 3 tries to realize I'd been getting on the wrong bus for a month. Still faster than waiting for the train though.
