Chose the 6:15 express over the local at Grand Central and I'm still mad about it
The express skips my stop when it's running more than 4 minutes behind, which nobody tells you until you're already on it. Watched my station go by from the window and ended up 40 blocks past my apartment at 7pm. Anyone else get burned by the "faster" train or am I just bad at reading the board?

The express skipping stops when it runs late is such a backwards setup, like punishing everyone for the train's own delay. I get why it happens, they want to get back on schedule, but stranding people 40 blocks from home at 7pm is way worse than being 6 minutes late. That board at Grand Central only shows the next few trains anyway, it never tells you the express might bail on your stop mid-ride. Honestly this is less about you reading the board wrong and more about the system springing this on you with zero warning.
