Found out my brake pads were 70% gone from a sticker on my visor

I was sitting in traffic on the 405 last week and started reading the random sticker on my sun visor. It had a little chart showing brake pad thickness and what percentage of life is left at each level. Never even noticed it before and I've had this truck for 2 years. Checked my pads when I got home and they were at about 3mm which the chart said is 70% worn. Saved me a trip to the shop cause I would've guessed they were fine. Anyone else find useful info hidden in plain sight in their vehicle?

3mm is basically metal on metal... I'd call that more like 90% gone honestly.
