Had three perfect commute days in a row and it felt like a miracle

I'm not sure what changed, but last Tuesday through Thursday, I hit green lights the whole way from Fremont to downtown. No construction delays, no random brake checks, just smooth sailing at 45 mph the whole 20 miles. The weird part was Friday went back to normal with a 15 minute backup near the bridge. Anyone else ever get a lucky streak like that or was I just dreaming?

Wait, aren't those bridge sensors mostly just for counting traffic volume, not controlling the lights? @the_christopher might be right about the timers though, that makes more sense. I've seen maintenance crews mess with the timing boxes near the on-ramps before.

@the_christopher knows his stuff about the bridge sensors, I bet that's exactly what happened. My lucky streak was totally different though, one time I got to work early for a whole week because some construction rerouted all the traffic away from my usual route. Of course that fix only lasted until they repaved the road and everyone came back.

The stoplights along Fremont Blvd are probably on a timer that shifts when they do maintenance on the bridge sensors.
