I started counting red lights on my drive to work for a week, and the number was not what I expected
Last Monday I got stuck at the same light on Route 9 for the fourth day straight, so I decided to actually count every red light I hit on my 20 minute drive to the shop. I drove the same route every morning and wrote the number on a sticky note on my dash, and by Thursday the total was 11 reds on a single trip when I usually feel like I catch maybe 4 or 5. But here is the weird part, Friday I left 8 minutes earlier and hit only 3. So the lights did not change, my pickup time did, and I sat there at the counter all day thinking about how much of my morning grump was really just my own schedule. Now I leave at 7:12 instead of 7:20 and my whole mood on the drive is different, which sounds silly but it is true. Anyone else track something like this and find out the problem was way more in your control than you figured?
