My bus driver in Chicago handed me a garbage bag and I stopped rolling my eyes at the 151
I used to think people who brought breakfast on the bus were a mess waiting to happen, until last Tuesday when a guy's coffee tipped over on the 151 near Fullerton and soaked my bag. The driver pulled over, pulled a trash bag out from under his seat, and asked me to hold the wet stuff while he passed napkins down the aisle. It took 4 minutes and a woman across from me held my coffee cup so I could clean up, and the whole bus just helped out. Now I bring a ziplock in my tote, but honestly the driver had it handled better than I would have. Has anyone else had a driver step in like that?
