Picked the train over driving after 2 months of I-5 gridlock in Seattle

Honestly, the train adds 15 minutes but I can actually read a book instead of white-knuckling through brake lights. Has anyone else traded a quicker drive for a longer but way less stressful ride?

I mean sure, "the feeling of being in control" is nice until you're sitting in the same spot for ten minutes watching someone eat a burrito in the car next to you. On the train I just zone out and don't have to worry about the guy riding my bumper or some sudden brake check. Plus I can actually finish a chapter of a book instead of just checking my mirror every three seconds. Maybe it's just me but I'll take the extra quarter hour for my sanity.

Trading brake lights for book time sounds like a solid win to me. Plus you skip the risk of road rage incidents over someone merging badly.

Yeah @the_lee, but don't you miss that feeling of being in control of the car on the road?
