That one Tuesday where the train was 47 minutes late and nobody even blinked

I live near the CTA Orange Line in Chicago and most people hate when the trains are delayed. But a few weeks ago on a Tuesday, the train sat on the tracks for almost an hour without moving. Most people were glued to their phones or chatting. One guy even pulled out a paperback and read calmly. I think there is something nice about a forced slow down in your day. Nobody was mad or yelling. It felt like everyone quietly agreed we all needed a break from rushing. Has anyone else had a commute delay that actually felt good instead of stressful?

Once had a delay so long people started a spontaneous card game right there in the aisle.

Lol I'd probably be the one shuffling the deck with terrible luck and losing embarrassingly fast! Airplane delays bring out the inner gambler in all of us I guess.
