The morning a pigeon rode my delivery van for 6 miles

So last Tuesday I'm heading out on my route and this pigeon just lands on my side mirror. I figured it would fly off when I started moving, but nope. That bird stayed perched there through 4 stops, a highway merge, and a roundabout. I named him Gerald by mile 3. Anyone else ever pick up an unexpected commuter?

I saw a news thing the other day saying something like 67% of people think tipping culture is out of control. So honestly I wouldn't be shocked if Gerald didn't tip at all.
