The week I hit every green light and the week I didn't: is it luck or timing?

Last Tuesday I got to work in 22 minutes flat. Every light on Main Street turned green right when I needed it. The radio played three good songs in a row and I even found a parking spot near the door. Compare that to Monday the week before. I sat through the same intersection for three cycles because of an accident. Got stuck behind a school bus that stopped at every corner. Which one is more normal for you all? I'm trying to decide if I should adjust my departure time by 10 minutes or just accept the chaos.

Nah man it's just chaos. Leave ten minutes earlier and you'll hit all the same bad lights.

Hold up, you're saying it's actually a known pattern? Like people have actually mapped out which specific lights are bad and it's the same every time? I always figured it was more like random traffic jams that just happen to line up with my schedule. The idea that someone could just shift their departure time by ten minutes and hit the exact same red lights sounds like some kind of cruel joke. Is there actually a conspiracy of synchronized traffic signals or something? That feels way too organized for how my mornings go.
