Took the scenic bridge route and paid for it with an hour of goose chaos
Every morning I pick between the expressway (smooth, boring, 25 min) or the river bridge (pretty, but 40 min on a good day). Last Tuesday I chose the bridge because the sunset looked unreal. Big mistake. Right at the peak, a flock of like 80 geese decided the entire road was their runway. Cars stopped dead. One guy got out waving a jacket and they just hissed at him. I sat there watching a goose peck at a bumper sticker for 45 minutes. Got home late and my dinner was cold. Has anyone else ever been fully trapped by wildlife on their way to work?
