Warning: I just lost $75 on a fake parking app near the downtown station

Yesterday I was running late and saw a sign for 'QuickPark' with a QR code by the train station. I scanned it, paid the $15 fee through what looked like a real app, and rushed to catch my train. Came back 8 hours later to a $60 ticket on my windshield because the sign was a total scam and the city doesn't even use that service. Has anyone else seen these fake parking setups around the city? I need to know where else to watch out.

The city actually does use QuickPark, but only in the numbered lots west of the station. That sign was definitely a fake copy.

That's such a dirty trick. They're probably hitting busy areas where people are in a rush and won't double-check. I'd report the exact location to the city's parking enforcement so they can take the sign down.

Wait, they put up a fake parking sign? That's actually insane. It's one thing to have confusing rules, but a whole fake sign feels like next level scamming. You're right, reporting it is the only move, because who knows how many people they've tricked already. That kind of thing should get them a huge fine.
