Found a shredded leash in the park near Pine Hills yesterday
My dog spotted a rabbit right as I was reaching for my phone, and before I could grab the leash properly she bolted and it snapped at the clip, so now I always double-check for any cracks in the metal before we even leave the driveway, anyone else had a leash fail on them?

My old dog did that same thing at the vet's parking lot of all places. He saw a cat and yanked so hard the leash clip snapped clean off. I just stood there holding a useless strap while he ran circles around a minivan. The vet tech had to come out with a slip lead to catch him. Now I run my thumb along the whole connector every morning before we walk, checking for any little rough spots or dings. What brand of leash was it that snapped?

Check the cheap stamped metal clips, @tara793, they're usually the weak point on most leashes.
