Morning rain walk finally clicked for my pup after 3 weeks of fighting it
My dog Lou used to plant his feet at the door if there was any drizzle. I tried everything, short leash, treats, even a raincoat he hates. Then last Tuesday in Portland I just stopped rushing him and stood under the awning for 5 minutes letting him watch the rain hit the street. He sniffed around on his own and now we do a full 2 mile loop in light showers. Has anyone else found that waiting out the first hesitation fixes a stubborn walker faster than any bribe?
