Swapped my 6am paved loop for a creek trail and my lab found a whole new personality

For two years I walked the same sidewalks in Columbus because I was scared of mud and ticks, but last Tuesday I finally followed the little trail sign near the old mill. My dog Ziggy immediately dove into the water up to his chest and spent 20 minutes chasing minnows, something he never does on pavement. Has anyone else seen their dog act totally different when you switch from roads to dirt?

Ziggy sounds like he finally found his inner wild child, my beagle turned into a swamp monster the first time she hit the woods.
