Switched from flexi leash to a 6 foot static one and my shoulder thanks me
I used to swear by those retractable leashes. Thought my dog needed the freedom to roam on our 2 mile loop around the park by the river. But after 3 months of constant tugging and me holding my arm at a weird angle, my shoulder was killing me. My neighbor who walks 4 dogs at once told me to just try a plain 6 footer for a week. Night and day. My dog actually walks next to me now instead of pulling ahead 20 feet. She still sniffs everything but the pace is way calmer. Has anyone else made the switch and stuck with it or did you go back?

Drop the retractable for good and teach loose leash walking with treats, your arm will never regret it.
