TIL my dog's favorite walking path has a hidden gate after 4 years

Been taking Biscuit down the same trail near our place in Dayton every day since 2021, then last week I noticed this rusty latch behind some bushes. Turns out it opens to a whole quieter loop that cuts 15 minutes off our route, I felt like an idiot for not exploring sooner. Anyone else find a secret shortcut on a path you've walked a ton?
