Took me 3 weeks to figure out why my dog refused to walk past the mailboxes on Elm St
My beagle mix Cooper suddenly started planting his paws every time we got within 20 feet of the cluster of mailboxes at the end of our block. I tried treats, new routes, even carrying him past, nothing worked for 3 weeks. Turns out a neighbor's cat had been hiding under the box and hissing at him each morning around 7:30. Now we just cross the street at that point and he's fine, but I wonder if anyone else's dog has a weird irrational spot they refuse to pass for no obvious reason at first?
