Had a chat with my neighbor Dave that totally flipped my morning routine
Dave (retired guy two doors down, 72 years old) saw me chugging coffee at 6 AM and said “you’re flooding your system with stress before your body even wakes up.” He explained that cortisol spikes naturally around 7:30, so drinking caffeine before that just makes you jittery and crash later. I tried waiting until 8 AM for two weeks now and I actually feel less tired by noon. Has anyone else tried delaying their first cup and noticed a difference?

Coffee before 7:30 is the whole point of coffee. Waiting that long just lets the morning tiredness win.

Bell.felix probably chugs espresso at 4 AM and wonders why he's chewing pencils by lunch. Tried Dave's trick myself after a neighbor complained my 5 AM coffee ritual made me "aggressively pleasant." Now I wait until 7:45 and surprise, my hands don't shake when I'm paying at the grocery store.
