I used to write my to-do list at night, now I do it at 6am with coffee and it actually gets done
For about a year I would sit in bed around 10pm and write out everything I needed to do the next day, and I would wake up already feeling behind. Last week my wife moved my notebook to the kitchen counter and now I write the list at 6am while the coffee brews, still in my bathrobe. The weird part is I only write 3 things now instead of 12, and all 3 usually get crossed off by lunch. Something about doing it with morning light and a warm mug instead of a dark bedroom screen made it stick. Has anyone else switched their planning to the morning, and did your list get shorter too?
Morning planning just hits different. Writing 12 things at 10pm is basically writing a list of ways to feel bad about yourself. Three things with coffee beats twelve things in the dark every time.
