My attempt at waking up at 5am backfired hard

Tried that 5am wake up thing for 2 weeks straight. Set my alarm across the room, went to bed at 9pm, the whole deal. By day 5 I was so tired by noon I'd crash for an hour and mess up my whole afternoon. Anybody else try a super early routine and end up worse off?

By day 5 I was so tired by noon I'd crash for an hour" - that was exactly my experience. I did the same thing last year and ended up feeling way more exhausted than before. My body just would not adjust to that early schedule no matter how many tips I tried online. It's rough when something that's supposed to help you ends up making everything harder.

I woke up at 5am for three straight days once and by the third morning I was so disoriented I tried to pour coffee into my cereal bowl. My body just laughed at the idea of being a morning person. It felt like I was running on fumes by noon and then crashing harder than a toddler who missed their nap. Honestly I think my internal clock is permanently set to "snooze" no matter what I do. Your mileage may vary of course but for me that early bird stuff is a total myth.
