My brother said my morning routine was 'fake productivity' and honestly he had a point
I was bragging to my brother about how I wake up at 5am to journal and meditate and all that. He just looked at me and said 'you spend 45 minutes planning your day but you still skip breakfast and show up late to work.' And he was right you know. I was doing all these 'good habits' but neglecting the basic stuff like eating and being on time. Has anyone else realized they were doing the fancy habits but missing the simple ones?

Hold on wait, your brother called you out on skipping breakfast? That's literally the easiest thing to fix and you chose to do a 45 minute planning session instead. Honestly that's wild to me. Ngl I used to be the same way though, I'd spend an hour on a skincare routine but forget to drink water all day. Tbh it's so easy to get caught up in the stuff that looks good on social media and forget the boring basics that actually keep you going.

My sister once called me out for spending 20 minutes picking out a podcast but being late for appointments.

Didn't I read somewhere that decision fatigue is real? Sounds like your sister has a point, honestly.
