My first woodworking class at the Rockler in Denver had 12 people and only 3 finished the project
I signed up for a beginner box building class at the Rockler in Denver last month and watched 9 out of 12 people give up halfway through. The instructor kept saying to just take your time but the clock was ticking and people got frustrated and left. Now I'm wondering if these big box store classes are even worth it or if I should just watch videos and mess up in my own garage. Some folks swear by in person teaching for the hands on help but others say you learn faster alone with YouTube and scrap wood. What got you past the point of wanting to quit when you first started a new craft?
