My neighbor Carol saw my 12 half-finished knitting projects and asked one question that stuck with me
I ran into my neighbor Carol at the mailbox on Tuesday and she asked how my knitting was going, so I laughed and said I had about 12 projects going and none of them done. She didn't laugh with me. She just said "pick the one you love most and finish it this month, the rest can wait." That hit me weird because I have been starting new scarves and hats for almost 3 years now and finishing maybe 2 things. Every time a project gets boring or I mess up a row, I just grab new yarn and start fresh, and honestly the starting part is the fun part for me. But then I have this bin under my bed full of half scarves that will never keep anyone warm. So last night I pulled out the blue seed stitch scarf I started back in January and did 6 rows instead of casting on something new. It felt slow and kind of boring but I actually finished a whole skein. Carol has been knitting for like 40 years so she probably knows what she is talking about. Do you all have a pile of unfinished stuff too, or is it just me?
