Tried to paint a sunset scene and ended up with a swamp monster instead
I set up my little watercolor kit on the kitchen table last night, mixing what I thought was a nice orange for the sky, but it came out more like a slimy green blob that ate the whole paper. Spent 20 minutes just adding more brown trying to fix it before I gave up and called it 'abstract marshland.' Has anyone else had a color mixing disaster that turned into something fun?

Just throw some more water at it and call it a happy little swamp.

The 'abstract marshland' approach is a classic, I've definitely been there. My attempt at a golden hour field turned into something that looked like toxic sludge from a sci-fi movie. Sometimes leaning into the accident is the only way to salvage the paper and your sanity.
