Rant: It took me 3 hours to figure out why my printer only jammed on page 7 of every job
Ok so I know everyone says the fix is always the rollers or the paper, and I get it, that is usually right. But last Tuesday I spent 3 hours and 14 minutes fighting my old HP at home, and the whole time the internet kept telling me to just wipe the rollers with alcohol. I did that. Twice. Even ran 40 sheets of plain paper through to clean it out like some guy on a forum swore by. Turns out the real issue was a tiny piece of sticker backing stuck under the paper guide, about the size of a tic tac, and it only caught on the 7th page because that is when the tray got light enough to tilt. I found it at 11pm with a flashlight and a pair of tweezers from my bathroom drawer. So yeah, popular opinion is wrong here, it is not always the rollers, sometimes it is a 2 cent piece of trash you cannot see. Has anyone else had a dumb tiny thing cause a huge delay like that?
