That moment I switched from peanut butter to almond butter for toast
I was team crunchy Jif forever until my roommate left her almond butter out at a party last Friday (I snagged a bite when nobody was looking). Now my grocery list has a $7 jar on it and I feel like a traitor. Anyone else get converted by a stolen spoonful like that?

@casey682 you gotta stop hiding it behind the mayo, that's just asking for a bad sandwich situation lol. But seriously, try mixing half almond butter with your peanut butter in a bowl first. That way you ease into it without feeling like you're betraying your whole childhood. I did that for a week and now I barely touch peanut butter unless I'm baking cookies.
Plus $7 a jar hurts but you can stretch it if you get the bigger container at Costco or Target. Just keep it in the fridge so it doesn't separate and get all oily on you. And don't let anyone guilt you about the price, you're paying for that subtle roasted flavor and no weird added sugars. If you really wanna save money, try grinding your own almonds at the store. Those machines scare me a little but it's literally half the price.

Wait, am I the only one who secretly feels like I'm cheating on my family's peanut butter legacy every time I grab that almond butter jar? I literally hide the almond butter behind the mayo so my girlfriend doesn't judge me for spending $7 on something that tastes like fancy playdough.
