An old espresso machine I grabbed at a yard sale last month, after a deep clean and descaler run, now pulls shots better than my $400 Breville lol

I figured the gunked up group head and crusty steam wand meant it was dead, but some Cafiza and a new gasket turned it into a beast for only $20, has anyone else revived an appliance with just cleaning supplies?

Feel you on that, man. I just did the math on my own tab and it came out to almost exactly the same savings for an hour of labor. It feels really good to knock that out and see the bill drop like that. Honestly, any time you can save that kind of cash by just putting in a little elbow grease, it's a win in my book.

Three hundred and eighty bucks for scrubbing sounds like they're using unicorn tears mixed with fairy dust for that price. I spent four hours on my own deck last July with a thirty-dollar pressure washer from a yard sale and a bottle of Simple Green, and it came out looking good enough for my neighbors to ask who did it. But hey if someone's willing to pay that much for a little elbow grease, I guess the joke's on me for being cheap. Must be nice to have that kind of cash to throw around on soap and water.

$380 for scrubbing? That's insane. I spent like 3 hours on my deck last summer with a pressure washer and a stiff brush and it only knocked like $150 off my quote. Whoever is charging $380 just for scrubbing must be using some magic soap or charging by the hour at a crazy rate.
