Finally figured out how to price my swap items after someone called me out
A guy at the Brooklyn swap meet told me I was asking too much for used books because Amazon sells new ones for $8. Now I check sold eBay listings before I post anything and actually get takers instead of stares. Anyone else get feedback that changed how they list stuff?

Honestly, I saw a TikTok from a vintage seller who said checking completed auctions instead of active ones is the real hack, and it totally made sense to me. Ngl, before that I was just guessing what things were worth and mostly getting crickets. Tbh, comparing to Amazon is a false move since books at swap meets have charm and scarcity you can't get from Prime.

Completed auctions are the only real way. Stops you from overpaying.
