Found a goldmine of free stuff at the transfer station swap shed last Saturday

I had to drop off some old paint cans at the county dump in Eugene and noticed this little covered area off to the side. Turns out it's a free swap shed where people leave stuff they don't want. I walked out with a working coffee grinder and three hardcover books. Nobody checks what you take, you just gotta be willing to dig through boxes. Has anyone else found a good community swap spot like this near them?

Wait, wait... they just let you walk out with a coffee grinder for free? No weird looks or someone asking if you're gonna flip it? I've seen swap sheds before but they're usually picked clean within an hour of opening around here. Snagged a practically new toaster at our town's recycling center last fall, still had the plastic wrap on the cord. Crazy what people toss without a second thought.

Hang on, the plastic wrap was still on the cord? That is wild. I'm picturing someone unboxing a brand new toaster, making toast once, and then just tossing the whole thing because they didn't like the shade of brown it made. I found a copy of "Into the Wild" that looked like it had been through a wood chipper and a coffee grinder that probably grinds slower than my grandma walks, so your find is definitely next level. These swap sheds really are the ultimate game of chance.
