Found a working rice cooker next to the dumpster at the park and it changed my kitchen setup

I was jogging through Riverside Park last Tuesday and spotted a 6-cup rice cooker sitting by the trash bins, still had the cord and a sticker from 2019. Took it home, scrubbed it down, and it cooked a perfect batch of jasmine rice on the first try. Anyone else ever grabbed something from a public spot and had it actually work out, or am I just lucky?
