Last Saturday at the Spin City on 5th I put out a box of old paperbacks and two chipped mugs with a sign that just said 'free.' Got zero takers in 45 minutes. So I flipped the sign to 'trade for anything, just leave something.' Walked out with a working desk fan and a Columbia fleece. Is it better to post stuff here as free, or make people bring one thing to take one thing?
