Shoutout to the 47 mismatched socks I finally traded and the guy who counted them twice
I dumped a trash bag of single socks on the table at the Riverside swap meet in Boise two Saturdays ago and figured maybe 10 would go. A guy in a green cap sat there and counted all 47 out loud, then asked if I had the 48th one hiding somewhere. Turns out he runs a sock puppet craft thing with his grandkids and needed odd socks on purpose. He traded me a working desk fan and a bag of plums for the whole pile, and I still feel like I got away with something. What's the weirdest single item someone has actually wanted from your junk pile?
