Swapped a blender for a bread maker at the park meetup and wow

I went to the Sunday swap at Washington Park last month with an old blender I never used. A lady gave me her bread maker in exchange, said it sat in her closet for 2 years. I tried it that same afternoon and made a decent loaf on my first go. Has anyone else picked up a kitchen gadget through one of these swaps that actually worked out better than expected?
