Swapped a cracked tablet for a pasta maker, somehow won big
Last month I listed my old Kindle with a cracked screen on here, expecting maybe a coffee mug in return. Instead, someone offered a barely-used pasta maker they got for Christmas and hated. I figured why not, since the Kindle was just gathering dust on my shelf. After 3 tries with the dough, I finally made decent fettuccine and now I'm hooked. It's crazy how one person's useless gadget becomes another person's favorite kitchen tool. Anyone else swap something busted for a real upgrade like this? What did you trade?

My husband still brings up the bread maker I bought at a garage sale for 8 bucks back in 2019. Used it twice, made two sad bricks, then it sat in the closet until I traded it for a set of cast iron pans that I use almost every day now. The guy who took the bread maker was thrilled too, said his wife had been wanting one. So yeah, sometimes the stuff we stink at is exactly what someone else needs. My pasta game is still weak though, so maybe I need to find someone with a pasta maker who wants some slightly used pans.
