Traded my old bread maker for a rice cooker yesterday. Game changer.

I had this bread maker sitting in my closet for like two years, barely used it. Met a guy at the coffee shop who was looking for one and I mentioned I had it. He offered to trade a rice cooker he never opened. My rice went from mushy to perfect in one try. Anybody else have luck swapping kitchen gadgets you thought were useless?

Rice cookers actually work great for steaming veggies too, that's the trick nobody talks about. Put a steamer basket in there while the rice cooks and you've got a whole meal.

Make sure you time it right so the veggies don't get mushy.
