Why does nobody warn you that trading your old books online means shipping costs eat the whole deal?
I put up 14 paperback novels on here last week hoping to swap for some sci-fi stuff, and a guy in Ohio claimed 6 of them right away. Sounds great until I got to the post office and found out it was $22 to ship the box because it weighed just over 4 pounds. So I basically paid more to give away books than I spent buying them at the flea market in the first place. Does anyone here have a trick for keeping trades light, or do you just accept that swapping stuff long distance is a losing game?
