My shop had a diesel pickup waiting for a backordered fuel pump for over a month. Instead of rushing, I spent time cleaning and inspecting every connected part, catching a small crack in the line I would have missed. Man, that's the worst kind of surprise. I spent a whole weekend once chasing a misfire only to find two loose battery cables. Car stuff never goes as planned.
