Hit 480,000 miles on my 2006 Cummins last Tuesday and the odometer number really got to me
I always told guys these 5.9s run forever, but seeing 480k roll over on the way to a job in Fresno made me wonder how many more oil changes I actually have left in this thing before the head gasket finally goes.

Change the coolant every 100k and watch your EGTs when you're pulling grades and that head gasket could easily go another 200k. Get a Blackstone oil test done next change, it'll tell you way more than the odometer ever could.
