I finally cleared out my old toolbox and found my first set of feeler gauges from trade school.

They were in a little plastic case, all greasy and bent at the tips from when I was learning valve lash on those old mechanical Cummins engines. Now I just plug in the laptop and watch the numbers on the screen, which is faster but feels different, you know? Do you guys still keep any of your old hand tools around, or is it all digital now?

What's the oldest tool you still use on the job?

Isn't it funny how the best tools, like @ericj45's question, are often the simple ones that last?

My grandpa's old claw hammer is basically a family member at this point. It has fixed more things than I can count. Meanwhile, that fancy multi-tool I bought last year is already missing half its parts. The simple stuff just doesn't quit.
