Just logged my 1,000th hour on a single 6.7 Powerstroke engine rebuild project.
It started as a side job for a friend's farm truck in Des Moines, but the cylinder head issues and custom machining turned it into a marathon that made me question my entire process for quoting jobs.

Did you see that article about the guy who rebuilt a 6.0 Powerstroke in his apartment?

Rebuilding an engine in an apartment is just a bad idea. The smell and the mess would be awful for everyone else in the building. Some projects really do need a proper garage.

Was it on the third floor? I can't imagine hauling that block up the stairs.
