Question about setting injector lash after a talk with my old shop teacher
My old shop teacher from the vo-tech in Waco stopped by the bay last week and watched me set lash on a 5.9 and asked why I was using the book spec hot instead of checking it cold first. He said 20 years of doing it cold let him catch a worn rocker before it ate the cam, and it got me thinking about how much I just follow the manual. How do you all handle lash on a high mile motor, trust the spec or check it a couple different ways?
