Rant: that 2013 Duramax fought me for 6 hours and I still lost
Last Wednesday a regular dropped off his 2013 Duramax with a no-start and I figured it was a fuel filter, easy money before lunch. Three hours later I had the cab jacked up chasing a chafed harness behind the block, and every time I thought I found it the thing would crank but never fire. Turned out the crank sensor was fine and the real problem was a corroded ground strap down on the frame that looked brand new from the top. I ate the extra 4 hours because I quoted him $250 flat, and honestly I should have just walked the whole ground circuit first like my old boss always yelled at me to do. Any of you got a go-to order for chasing no-starts on these trucks, or do you just start at the grounds every time like I should have?
