Swapped from spin-on to a cartridge oil filter setup on my Cummins 12 valve this weekend and i'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner

The old spin-on was always a nightmare to get off without making a mess, but this cartridge system cost me 40 bucks and after two oil changes the cleanup is way faster and it filters better too - anyone else made the switch or still running the old can style?

Read a thread over on one of the diesel forums where a guy said the same thing, said he'd never go back to a spin-on after dealing with the drip mess one too many times. Forty bucks sounds like a solid deal for way less headache.

Is one little drip really worth spending forty bucks to fix though?
